SS 316Ti has 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, 2–3% molybdenum, and titanium content not less than 5 times the carbon content with carbon not exceeding 0.08%. The alloy offers superior pitting and crevice corrosion resistance in chloride media. The mechanical properties are tensile strength of 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of 40%. The addition of titanium boosts high-temperature stability and averts sensitization, enabling application to welded structures and thermal cycling environments. SS 316Ti maintains corrosion resistance and mechanical strength in temperatures up to 600°C.
