The ferritic stainless steel alloy known as Stainless Steel 436 has 16–18% chromium and a small amount of molybdenum (1–1.5%) added to improve resistance to oxidation and corrosion. It has trace amounts of nickel, low carbon content, and stabilizing elements like columbium (niobium). The alloy offers high hardness and structural stability, with a tensile strength of 520–720 MPa and a yield strength of about 205 MPa. Additionally, stainless steel 436 exhibits good formability, weldability, and thermal resistance, which qualifies it for settings where corrosion resistance and strength are equally important.

The alloy 436 stainless steel hot-rolled sheets possess excellent resistance to corrosion under conditions of high stress. Normally available in a form whose thickness runs from 3 mm up to 25 mm and width up to 2000 mm, this sheet is used in fabrication and construction.
Stainless Steel 436 Cold Rolled Plates offer excellent resistance to corrosion as well as an excellent surface finish. Available in thicknesses of 0.5 mm-6 mm, and widths of up to 1500mm, these plates are perfect for applications that are precise and aesthetically designed.
Stainless Steel 436 Chequered Sheets provide good corrosion resistance along with an anti-slip surface. The sheets are available in 1 mm to 6 mm thickness and in standard sizes up to 2000 mm x 1000 mm. Stainless Steel 436 Chequered Sheets are often used in flooring and safety applications.
High-quality corrosion resistance is offered by stainless steel 436 perforated plates, available with custom hole patterns for effective ventilation and filtration. The product is supplied in thicknesses from 0.8 mm to 5 mm and sheet sizes up to 2000 mm x 1000 mm, and used in industrial and architectural applications.
Stainless Steel 436 Shim Sheets, being reliable to corrosion resistance along with precise thicknesses for gap filling and alignment, are also available in usual thicknesses varying from 0.1mm to 3mm and usually up to a size of 3000 mm x 1500 mm with machinery and assembly processes.
High corrosion resistance coupled with a polished finish, these Stainless Steel 436 Polished Plates are stocked in sizes up to 1500 mm x 3000 mm and can be supplied between 0.5 mm – 6mm thick. Such plates are predominantly used in decoration and architectural areas.
Vinit Stainless has set out a commitment to provide the best customer services with complete documentation of its high-quality Stainless Steel 436 Sheets and Plates. The company provides primary documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, fumigation certificates, heat treatment charts, quality assurance plans, and NABL-approved lab test reports. All these documents ensure the genuinity and quality at their highest level of products and tend to increase trust and confidence among its users. Along with this, we also supply Stainless Steel 436 Sheets and Plates with multiple test certificates issued on MTC as per EN 10204/3.1b, PMI Test Certificate, radiography test reports on 100%, and third-party inspection certificate. The above proofs confirm our high regards for satisfaction to the esteemed customer and continually seeking excellence through the products produced by us.
Applications requiring strength, formability, and resistance to corrosion make extensive use of stainless steel 436 sheets and plates. These include heat exchangers, chemical tanks, marine hardware, and automobile exhaust systems, where oxidation resistance is crucial in high-temperature environments. They are used for tanks, vessels, and pipes exposed to mildly aggressive media in the petrochemical and chemical industries. They are also perfect for food processing equipment, kitchen appliances, and architectural elements due to their durability and formability. Long-lasting performance in structural, industrial, and environmental engineering applications is made possible by the alloy’s resistance to oxidation and thermal fatigue.
