Stainless Steel 443 is a ferritic stainless steel with a high chromium level, usually 19-22% Chromium, stabilized with niobium and titanium. Low carbon content for better weldability and corrosion resistance. Its nominal composition is Fe, Cr (19-22%), Ti, Nb. Mechanically, it has good formability and ductility with tensile strength 380-550 MPa and yield strength 240-380 MPa. It is not hardenable by heat treatment.
