Vinit Stainless maintains strong control on product composition and coating quality to provide stable arcs and blemish-free welds. E630-16 Electrodes are the choice in aerospace, marine, and high-performance engineering industries. Supported by technical services and regular supply, Vinit Stainless has emerged as a trusted ally for industries where high-strength weld deposits with superior durability are needed.
AWS E630-16 Electrodes have approximately 16–17.5% chromium, 4–5% nickel, 3–5% copper, ≤0.07% carbon, and trace niobium for age hardening. This precipitation hardening stainless steel electrode offers outstanding mechanical properties when heat–treated after welding. In the H900 condition, normal tensile strength is 930 MPa, yield strength 730 MPa, and elongation 10%. It provides superior corrosion resistance and high hardness without sacrificing ductility. These electrodes ensure reliable mechanical performance in high-stress and corrosion-requiring applications, suitable for joining 17-4PH and other precipitation-hardenable stainless grades.

These electrodes offer exceptional corrosion resistance and are ideal for various stainless steel welding applications. They typically come in sizes like 1/8″, 5/32″, and 3/16″. The light coating ensures smooth arc stability and minimal spatter during welding.
Offering robust corrosion resistance, these electrodes are designed for demanding welding tasks on stainless steel. Available in sizes such as 1/8″, 5/32″, and 3/16″, the heavy coating enhances arc stability and slag removal, making them suitable for heavy-duty applications.
These electrodes provide superior corrosion resistance for stainless steel welding with shielded arc protection. They are typically available in diameters of 1/8″, 5/32″, and 3/16″. The shielded arc ensures clean, strong welds with minimal contamination.
AWS Class E630-16 Electrodes are used primarily for welding precipitation hardening stainless steels like 17-4PH in applications where strength, hardness, and corrosion resistance are essential. Some of these include aerospace parts, nuclear reactor components, marine equipment, shafts, gears, and turbine blades. The electrodes are very weldable and possess good post-weld properties when heat-treated, hence ideal for high-performance, precision-based fabrication. Applications in defense, energy, and petrochemical engineering also involve them due to their reliability in welded joints as well as overlays. The electrode makes welds crack-free, having high strength and dimensional stability even at cyclic thermal or mechanical stresses.
