446 Stainless Steel is a non-hardenable ferritic alloy with high chromiumnormally 23-27% Chromium and low carbon. Its nominal chemistry is Fe, Cr (23-27%), with small additions of Mn and Si. Mechanically, it has good strength in the higher temperatures, with tensile strength of 415-550 MPa and yield strength of 275-380 MPa. It has excellent scaling resistance in oxidizing conditions up to around 1100.
