Stainless Steel XM19 or Nitronic 50 or UNS S20910 is an austenitic stainless steel with improved composition that offers excellent performance. Its standard chemical composition is 20.5-23.5% Chromium, 11.5-13.5% Nickel, 4.0-6.0% Manganese, and a very important 0.20-0.40% Nitrogen, with trace amounts of Molybdenum, Silicon, Vanadium, and Columbium. These make it possess its outstanding mechanical properties: commonly having a tensile strength of more than 690 MPa (100 ksi) and a yield strength of more than 380 MPa (55 ksi) in annealed condition. XM19 bars also display fine ductility, impact toughness, and retain high strength even at cryogenic and elevated temperatures.
