Stainless Steel Slip On Flanges are generally made of heavy stainless steel grades like SS 304, 304L, 316, or 316L, which possess good corrosion resistance and wear life. Their make-up, such as with chromium and sometimes nickel, gives them durability in different environments. Mechanically, these flanges have excellent tensile strength (such as 515-620 MPa for 304/304L) and yield strength (205-220 MPa). The construction makes possible the insertion of the pipe into the flange prior to welding, allowing for a cost-efficient and relatively simple installation process for lower-pressure systems.
