Stainless steel couplings are normally produced using grades like SS 304 or SS 316, providing good corrosion resistance and tensile strength. The metal content consists of 18-20% chromium and 8-12% nickel for SS 304, whereas SS 316 consists of 16-18% chromium, 10-14% nickel, and 2-3% molybdenum. These couplings show tensile strength up to 515 MPa and yield strength of approximately 205 MPa, providing long life in service and excellent mechanical reliability.
