EP tees are fabricated from austenitic stainless steels such as SS 304, SS 316, and their low-carbon counterparts. These types of materials are very strong and corrosion –resistant. The mechanical properties consist of tensile strength of 520–670 MPa and yield strength of 210–260 MPa. The fittings are highly ductile and resistant to crevice and pitting corrosion. Their consistent thickness and smooth surface make them eligible for welding and sanitary applications. EP tees are designed to provide flow velocity and pressure drop minima to ensure mechanical integrity for both vertical and horizontal pipeline systems.
