SS301 fasteners consist predominantly of iron with 16–18% chromium and 6–8% nickel and a low carbon content (≤0.15%). This alloy provides an excellent balance between corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. SS301 possesses tensile strength from 520 to 750 MPa, based on tempering, and yield strength of 205 to 380 MPa. It also possesses good ductility and formability.
