Vinit Stainless is a trusted distributor of SS 13-8 PH stainless steel sheets and plates, serving precision-critical industries from Chennai, India. SS 13-8 PH provides a superior blend of high strength, toughness, and enhanced corrosion resistance. These precipitation-hardening sheets and plates are processed to strict quality standards and are supplied in several heat treatment conditions. For structural parts under severe stress, Vinit‘s SS 13-8 PH products find applications in aerospace, nuclear, and chemical processing industries. The company provides superior dimensional accuracy, flatness, and surface finish appropriate for high-performance uses.
SS 13-8 PH is a martensitic stainless steel alloyed with chromium (~13%), nickel (~8%), and aluminum for precipitation hardening. It provides tensile strength up to 1310 MPa and yield strength of about 1100 MPa when heat-treated. It possesses very good fracture toughness even in heavy sections. The alloy offers corrosion resistance better than 17-4 PH and is weldable under all conditions. With good stress corrosion resistance and low distortion during heat treatment, SS 13-8 PH finds application in high-reliability, fatigue-critical parts. Its consistent properties make it ideal for big structural pieces and accurate parts.
