Located in Chennai, India, Vinit Stainless is a well-known stainless steel manufacturer and supplier that specialises in providing high-quality 304L bars that are customised to satisfy a range of industrial requirements. A low-carbon version of 304, SS 304L provides outstanding weldability and corrosion resistance, making it ideal for applications where post-weld heat treatment is impractical. Vinit Stainless produces 304L bars that meet international standards in a range of sizes and finishes. We provide dependable and long-lasting stainless steel solutions to sectors like pharmaceuticals, food processing, chemical plants, and construction, all while putting an emphasis on quality, longevity, and customer satisfaction.
Chromium (18–20%), nickel (8–12%), and a maximum of 0.03% carbon make up stainless steel 304L bars. The reduced carbon reduces the possibility of carbide precipitation during welding and enhances weldability. These bars usually have an elongation of about 40%, a yield strength of about 170 MPa, and a tensile strength of about 485 MPa. Even in mildly aggressive environments, their austenitic structure offers exceptional toughness and corrosion resistance. Additionally, SS 304L bars retain their strength and ductility over a broad temperature range and are non-magnetic when annealed.
