SS 310S has 24–26% chromium, 19–22% nickel, and ≤0.08% carbon. It provides, tensile strength of approximately 520 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of 40%. Its low carbon content helps prevent carbide precipitation upon welding and enhances resistance to intergranular corrosion. SS 310S retains strength and stability when subject to continuous thermal cycling and provides excellent durability for parts subjected to long-term high-heat service.
