Stainless Steel 446 Fasteners are ferritic, high-chromium stainless steel parts that have a chromium content of roughly 23–27% and trace amounts of silicon, carbon, and molybdenum. At high temperatures, this composition provides exceptional resistance to scaling and oxidation. Mechanically, SS 446 offers good toughness and hardness along with moderate tensile strength (~485 MPa) and yield strength (~275 MPa).
