Vinit Stainless is one of the prominent manufacturer and supplier of SS 348 forged fittings in Chennai, India. Renowned for manufacturing high-performance stainless steel parts, Vinit Stainless offers reliable solutions for key industrial systems. SS 348 is a niobium-stabilized austenitic stainless steel that is highly suitable for high-temperature and corrosive usage, particularly where welding is concerned. Our SS 348 forged fittings are precision manufactured to provide enhanced intergranular corrosion, thermal fatigue, and oxidation resistance. For aerospace, power generation, and chemical process industries, Vinit‘s forged fittings provide the best performance and extended service life in the toughest operating conditions.
SS 348 forged fittings consist of 17–20% Chromium and 9–13% Nickel and are stabilized with niobium (columbium). The niobium content avoids sensitization upon welding, providing improved corrosion resistance. Mechanical properties are a tensile strength of approximately 515 MPa and yield strength of 205 MPa. These fittings have good ductility, toughness, and high-temperature creep resistance. The stabilized structure provides improved durability in welded and thermal cycling conditions, so SS 348 forged fittings are best suited for high temperature and pressure conditions.

Corrosion-resistant and ideal for high-temperature applications, these fittings provide robust, leak-proof connections. Common sizes range from ½” to 4″ in diameter. Socket weld fittings are used in industries like chemical processing and petrochemicals for their strength and reliability.
Offering excellent corrosion resistance, these fittings are designed for high-stress and high-temperature applications. Available sizes typically range from ¼” to 2″ in diameter. They ensure secure and leak-free connections and are ideal for use in oil and gas industries.
Highly resistant to corrosion, this elbow facilitates changes in direction with a 45-degree bend. Standard sizes range from ½” to 4″ in diameter. It redirects its flow in pipelines, especially in chemical and petrochemical industries.
Featuring superior corrosion resistance, this tee allows for branching off a main line. Sizes generally range from ¼” to 2″ in diameter. They are commonly used in high-temperature and high-pressure environments, ensuring durability and reliability in critical applications.
Known for its corrosion resistance, this half coupling is used to join pipes or tubes of the same diameter. Typical sizes range from ¼” to 2″ in diameter. It is essential for creating extensions or connections in industrial piping systems.
Corrosion-resistant and durable, this cross-fitting allows four-way connections in piping systems. Available in sizes from ½” to 4″ in diameter. It’s used in complex pipeline networks to facilitate multiple branch connections, especially in chemical and petrochemical industries.
SS 348 forged fittings are found in applications involving high temperature and corrosive materials, especially in the aerospace and nuclear industries. They are suitable for high-pressure piping in heat exchangers, reactors, superheaters, and steam lines. The fittings are also utilized extensively in chemical processing units and power plants for connecting pipes that have constant changes in temperature. Due to their niobium stabilization, these fittings work outstandingly well in welded systems without posing intergranular corrosion. They can withstand oxidation and retain their mechanical strength due to which they are a key element in high-stress applications.
