SS304H forged fittings consist of primarily iron content along with 18–20% chromium and 8–10.5% nickel and increased carbon content (0.04–0.10%) compared to general 304 stainless steel. Increased carbon content enhances strength at high temperatures. The mechanical properties are tensile strength ≥515 MPa, yield strength ≥205 MPa, and elongation ≥40%. Fittings show excellent toughness and corrosion resistance in oxidizing conditions. SS304H is particularly well-suited for use at high temperatures because of its enhanced creep resistance and is therefore the best option for forged parts in harsh industrial applications.
