SS 310S has 24–26% Chromium, 19–22% Nickel, and a low Carbon level (≤0.08%). It is an austenitic stainless steel that provides superior oxidation resistance up to 1100°C. It has tensile strength of approximately 515 MPa and yield strength of 205 MPa. The low carbon enhances weldability and reduces the chance for sensitization during high-temperature service. SS 310S retains strength, ductility, and resistance to corrosion in severe environments, and it is best suited for welding and heat applications in oxidizing conditions.
