Approximately 18–20% chromium, 8–10% nickel, and 0.8–1.2% carbon make up the high-carbon, stabilized austenitic alloy known as stainless steel 348H. Niobium improves its strength and resistance to intergranular corrosion. At high temperatures, this composition offers exceptional mechanical stability. It has an elongation of roughly 40%, a yield strength of 205 MPa, and a tensile strength of about 515 MPa.
