Vinit Stainless, a prominent stainless steel products manufacturer and supplier from Chennai, India, provides high-quality SS 17-7 PH sheet and plates renowned for their superior strength, hardness, and corrosion resistance. SS 17-7 PH is a precipitation-hardened stainless steel type that offers the corrosion resistance of austenitic steel along with the strength of martensitic steel. These plates and sheets are produced by sophisticated processing and heat treatment to satisfy aerospace, defense, and high-performance industrial applications. Vinit Stainless offers SS 17-7 PH in different sizes and tempers for consistent quality, accuracy, and dependable mechanical performance for demanding applications.
SS 17-7 PH consists mainly of 16–18% chromium, 6.5–7.75% nickel, 0.75–1.5% aluminum, and ≤0.09% carbon. It has very good mechanical properties following precipitation hardening, with yield strength of approximately 1170 MPa and tensile strength up to 1310 MPa (subject to heat treatment). SS 17-7 PH has excellent hardness, good fatigue strength, and moderate corrosion resistance. It also maintains mechanical strength up to 600°F (315°C). This grade is magnetic and low in distortion when heat-treated and is well-suited for flat and accurate sheet/plate applications in severe environments.

Stainless Steel 17-7 PH Hot Rolled Plates are characterized by excellent strength and hardness. Available in a range of sizes and thicknesses from 3mm to 120mm, the plates have good corrosion resistance and can be used under high-stress conditions.
Stainless Steel 17-7 PH Cold Rolled Sheets have a very smooth surface finish and high precision. These sheets are available in a range of thickness from 0.2mm to 6mm. The sheets possess excellent corrosion resistance and are useful for applications that require tight tolerances.
Stainless steel 17-7 PH chequered plates have a raised pattern that increases the grip and safety. It is commercially available from 2mm to 12mm in thicknesses. It is applied in flooring and other anti-skid applications. Their good corrosion resistance suits them well for both industrial and marine environments.
The Stainless Steel 17-7 PH Perforated Sheets have many hole sizes and patterns for various filtration and ventilation applications. They are typically in the thickness of 0.3mm to 3mm. Corrosion resistance allows these sheets to be long-lasting in all uses.
Stainless Steel 17-7 PH Shim Sheet is a thin, precision-cut sheet for spacing and alignment in machinery. It is available in 0.05mm to 3mm thicknesses, giving excellent corrosion resistance. Its sheets ensure reliable performance in very demanding mechanical environments.
Stainless Steel 17-7 PH Polished Plates have a bright polish finish. They come in thickness from 3mm up to 100mm. These plates exhibit strong corrosion resistance. They are good for decorative and sanitary applications.
SS 17-7 PH plate and sheet are found to be extensively used in aerospace components, structural components, springs, diaphragms, and other uses where high strength and stability of dimensions are necessary. These sheets are also used in the petrochemical, nuclear, and defense industries for pressure containing components as well as precision assemblies. The component’s high fatigue strength and resistance to corrosion render it appropriate for cyclic loading, high-stress environments. It‘s typically applied to bellows, valves, fasteners, and engine components. High mechanical strength and moderate corrosion resistance provide reliability under both dynamic and static loading conditions where long-term use is necessary.
