304H flanges are made of high-carbon austenitic stainless steel, which contains 8–10.5% nickel, 18–20% chromium, and 0.04%–0.10% carbon. The increased carbon improves creep resistance and strength at high temperatures. These flanges have good ductility and elongation, with a yield strength of about 205 MPa and a tensile strength of about 515 MPa. In addition to having good weldability and formability, SS 304H offers outstanding resistance to oxidation and corrosion at high temperatures.
