SS 316 Angle is an austenitic stainless steel alloy containing 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum, which improves its resistance to corrosion, particularly against chlorides and sea environments. It contains up to 0.08% carbon, making it weldable and shapeable. The general mechanical properties are tensile strength 515 MPa, yield strength 205 MPa, and elongation 40%. SS 316 Angles are extremely resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion and retain their strength and performance even under high-temperature and high-pressure applications.
