Based in Chennai, India, Vinit Stainless is a well-known producer and supplier of premium stainless steel goods that are renowned for their accuracy, robustness, and conformity to international standards. Stainless Steel 316/316L Flat Plates are among its best-selling products; they are made to function superbly in demanding, high-stress, and corrosive conditions. These flat plates are well-known for their mechanical strength, resistance to corrosion, and ease of maintenance, making them perfect for structural, chemical, and marine applications. Vinit Stainless is your reliable partner for stainless steel solutions in India and abroad, supported by cutting-edge technology, quality control, and a customer-focused philosophy.
The composition of stainless steel 316/316L flat plates is 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum. The 316L version has a low carbon content (≤ 0.03%). This lowers the chance of sensitization and improves weldability. The plates are very resistant to corrosion, especially in acidic and chloride-containing environments. Tensile strength of 515–620 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of 40% are examples of mechanical properties. They are perfect for high-performance industrial applications because they provide exceptional resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion and retain structural integrity at high temperatures.
