SS 316L forged fittings are precision-crafted, low-carbon stainless steel fittings best suited for corrosion-prone and hygienic conditions. Manufactured by Vinit Stainless in Chennai, India, these fittings are highly weldable, resistant to chemical attack, and best suited for cleanroom and sterile process applications. Owing to their high formability and strength properties, 316L forged elbows, tees, couplings, and reducers are highly sought for use in food processing, pharmaceutical, and petrochemical industries. Vinit Stainless provides quality standards and conformity to international standards, supplying forged fittings with reliable performance under low to moderate pressure and under a broad range of operating conditions.
SS 316L forged fittings contain 16–18% Chromium, 10–14% Nickel, 2–3% Molybdenum, and ≤0.03% Carbon. The low carbon content reduces intergranular corrosion after welding. Mechanical characteristics are a tensile strength of around 485 MPa and yield strength of 170 MPa. The fittings show good elongation and excellent resistance to chloride environments. The molybdenum confers resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. Forged structure confers increased pressure handling capacity, and low carbon gives improved weldability and confers hygienic and sensitive application suitability.

These fittings are available in various sizes, typically from 1/8″ to 4″ in diameter. They are designed for high-pressure applications and provide excellent resistance to corrosion, especially in marine environments.
Threaded fittings come in sizes ranging from 1/8″ to 6″. They offer superior corrosion resistance and are ideal for use in aggressive environments such as chemical processing and marine applications.
This elbow fitting is commonly available in sizes from 1/2″ to 4″. It facilitates smooth flow changes and resists corrosion effectively, making it suitable for high-pressure and high-temperature systems.
Threaded tees are available in sizes ranging from 1/8″ to 6″. They are used to connect three pipes at a junction and offer excellent resistance to corrosion and high temperatures.
This fitting is typically available in sizes from 1/8″ to 4″. It is used to connect a pipe to another fitting or equipment and provides high resistance to corrosion and wear.
Available in sizes from 1/2″ to 4″, the socket weld cross is used to connect four pipes at right angles. It offers excellent corrosion resistance and is suitable for high-pressure applications.
SS 316L forged fittings are used in systems that require high corrosion resistance and cleanliness. These include piping systems in pharmaceutical manufacturing, dairy and food processing, chemical transport, and marine applications. Their low carbon content ensures weld integrity and reduces the risk of sensitization, making them suitable for sterile environments. These fittings are also used in desalination plants, hospital piping systems, and wastewater treatment facilities. Their strength through forgings guarantees longevity in moderate pressure conditions, and their chemical composition favors performance in severe media and oxidizing conditions. SS 316L forged fittings integrate reliability, corrosion resistance, and ease of manufacturing.
