SS 316 pipe fittings are premium stainless steel parts that provide leak-tight, corrosion-resistant piping couplings in harsh industrial conditions. These fittings, manufactured in Chennai, India, by Vinit Stainless, are best suited for chemical-resistant industries, structurally reliable processes, and hygienic processing. SS 316 pipe fittings with molybdenum content provide excellent resistance against chloride corrosion and acidic attack. These fittings come in a variety of types such as elbows, tees, reducers, and unions and are designed for effective transport of fluid and gas. Vinit Stainless maintains international standards and provides consistent quality with high dimensional accuracy.
SS 316 pipe fittings have 16–18% Chromium, 10–14% Nickel, 2–3% Molybdenum, and ≤0.08% Carbon. The addition of molybdenum enhances pitting and crevice corrosion resistance in chloride environments. The fittings have tensile strength of 515 MPa and yield strength of 205 MPa. SS 316 fittings are resistant to corrosion at high and low temperatures and have good weldability and formability. They have a mix of chemical and mechanical toughness that makes them applicable for corrosive or structural use when saltwater or chemicals are regularly exposed.
