Vinit Stainless is a reliable manufacturer and supplier of SS 316Ti coils in Chennai, India. SS 316Ti is a titanium-stabilized form of 316 stainless steel, which has been developed to provide improved resistance to intergranular corrosion, particularly after welding. It functions well in high-temperature and corrosive conditions, and thus it is best suited for applications demanding long-lasting durability and structural integrity. Vinit Stainless produces SS 316Ti coils with precise dimensions and excellent surface finishes, ensuring they meet global industry standards. Our coils serve critical sectors such as chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, and heat exchanger manufacturing, where strength, hygiene, and corrosion resistance are key.
SS 316Ti coil contains 16–18% Chromium, 10–14% Nickel, 2–3% Molybdenum, and 0.5% Titanium for stabilization. The titanium keeps chromium carbide from precipitating at weld joints, improving resistance to corrosion. It possesses a tensile strength of about 550 MPa and a yield strength of about 230 MPa, with excellent elongation and ductility. SS 316Ti also maintains mechanical properties at high temperatures. The addition of molybdenum enhances the resistance against pitting and crevice corrosion and is also fit for use in the presence of chlorides and acids.
