Vinit Stainless provides SS 316Ti fasteners—titanium-stabilized austenitic stainless steel hardware perfectly suited for corrosive and high-temperature applications. The titanium stabilization of SS 316Ti enhances resistance to sensitization as well as provides improved performance in welded structures that undergo high-temperature exposure, and thus it is a long-term solution under aggressive environments.
SS 316Ti has 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, 2–3% molybdenum, ≤0.08% carbon, and titanium (~0.5%). It provides tensile strength of ~550–620 MPa, yield strength ~240 MPa, and elongation ~30–35%. Titanium addition makes chromium carbide formation at the grain boundary impossible, which improves weldability and intergranular corrosion resistance under heat stress.
