SS 321 has 17-19% Chromium, 9-12% Nickel, and stabilization with up to 0.70% Titanium to avoid carbide precipitation. This alloy shows strength and oxidation resistance up to 870°C temperature. It has a tensile strength of about 620 MPa and yield strength of about 275 MPa. SS 321 pipe fittings are tough and formable even after continuous exposure to heat for a long time. They have good weldability and are resistant to stress corrosion cracking and intergranular corrosion, especially in welded components.
