In order to improve stabilization against intergranular corrosion, Stainless Steel 347H Nuts are made from a high-carbon austenitic stainless steel alloy that contains 17–20% Chromium, 9–13% Nickel, and columbium (niobium), usually 8–10 times the carbon content. With a higher carbon content than 347, the “H” grade has better tensile strength and creep resistance at higher temperatures. These nuts have outstanding resistance to oxidation and thermal stability. For crucial high-temperature applications, mechanical properties usually include a tensile strength of 515 MPa, a yield strength of 205 MPa, and an elongation of 35–40%.
