Located in Chennai, India, Vinit Stainless is a well-known manufacturer and supplier of premium stainless steel 348 bars designed for demanding industrial applications. These bars are composed of austenitic stainless steel stabilised with niobium, which offers exceptional performance at high temperatures and exceptional resistance to intergranular corrosion. At Vinit Stainless, we guarantee dimensional accuracy, longevity, and reliable performance by using sophisticated manufacturing processes and strict quality control. Our SS 348 bars are available in a range of sizes and finishes to meet the requirements of industries like heat treatment, power generation, chemical processing, and aerospace. They also meet international standards.
Stainless steel 348 bars are stabilised with columbium (niobium), which improves resistance to intergranular corrosion and stops carbide precipitation during welding. They are made up of 17–19% chromium and 9–13% nickel. These bars offer outstanding mechanical qualities and stability at high temperatures, with tensile strengths ranging from 515 to 750 MPa and yield strengths of about 205 MPa. Up to 800°C is the service temperature at which SS 348 retains its strength and resistance to oxidation. It is a dependable material for structural and pressure-bearing applications because it is highly formable, weldable, and resistant to stress corrosion and scaling.
