Vinit Stainless, a leading stainless steel manufacturer and supplier located in Chennai, India, provides a strong series of Stainless Steel 420 Pipes. They are a workhorse material with great hardness and strength when subjected to heat treatment, along with satisfactory corrosion resistance in mild conditions. Our SS 420 pipes are designed and engineered to suit varied industrial needs, so they are ideal for use in areas where good strength, wear resistance, and a certain level of corrosion protection are necessary.
Stainless Steel 420 is martensitic stainless steel with high carbon content, usually between 0.15% and 0.40% Carbon, and at least 12% Chromium. The nominal composition is Fe, Cr (12-14%), and C (0.15-0.40%) with small additions of Manganese and Silicon. It can attain high tensile strength after hardening and tempering, usually between 750-950 MPa, and yield strength of 550-700 MPa, depending upon heat treatment. It is well machinable in the annealed state.

Stainless Steel 420 ERW (Electric Resistance Welded) pipes are welded from stainless steel strips, offering high hardness and wear resistance, ideal for cutlery, surgical instruments, and high-strength applications.
Stainless Steel 420 EFW (Electric Fusion Welded) pipes are made by fusing stainless steel plates, providing high-strength, wear-resistant pipes suitable for industrial tools and components requiring durability and hardness.
Stainless Steel 420 LSAW (Longitudinally Submerged Arc Welded) pipes are produced using submerged arc welding, offering strength and hardness for large-diameter applications, including industrial and high-stress environments.
Stainless Steel 420 Seamless pipes are manufactured without welding, providing uniform strength and high hardness, ideal for cutlery, surgical tools, and applications requiring excellent wear resistance and durability.
Stainless Steel 420 Welded pipes are made by welding stainless steel sections, offering high hardness and wear resistance, suitable for industrial applications, cutlery, and tools requiring enhanced durability.
Stainless Steel 420 Square pipes feature a square cross-section, providing structural support and high hardness, ideal for use in applications requiring durability, wear resistance, and a unique design.
Stainless Steel 420 Pipes are widely used in many industries where hardness, wear resistance, and moderate corrosion resistance are needed together. Typical applications are pump shafts, valve parts, and cutlery. They are also used in surgical equipment, plastic mold tools, and general engineering pieces. Its capacity to be hardened by heat treatment makes it applicable to components that endure heavy wear, providing a wear-resistant solution in harsh mechanical conditions.
