Stainless Steel Sockets are generally produced from 304/304L and 316/316L grades. They consist of high chromium and nickel for enhanced corrosion resistance. The “L” grades reduce carbon to avoid carbide precipitation during welding, enhancing intergranular corrosion resistance. They have high tensile strength (485-620 MPa) and yield strength (170-310 MPa) mechanically, offering strong performance in high-pressure applications. They have good hardness and impact resistance, providing tough and secure connections that can meet harsh operational stresses.

Stainless steel sockets are highly resistant to corrosion due to their chromium content, but they may corrode under extreme conditions, such as exposure to harsh chemicals or seawater. Regular maintenance ensures longevity.
Stainless steel sockets can attract magnets if they are made from ferritic or martensitic stainless steel, which contain magnetic properties. However, austenitic stainless steel, commonly used, is non-magnetic.
Yes, stainless steel sockets can be recycled after use. Stainless steel is a highly recyclable material, and recycling it helps reduce environmental impact while conserving valuable resources.
Yes, stainless steel sockets can be used for underground applications. Their corrosion resistance makes them suitable for harsh environments, ensuring durability and performance in buried or underground installations.
Stainless Steel Sockets are mainly employed to make secure connections between pipes and fittings in numerous fluid conveying systems. They are unavoidable in residential and industrial water pipes in plumbing, providing safe and durable connections. In chemical process plants, they play a crucial role in making resistant and leak-proof connections that can safely deal with corrosive media. In addition, in the oil and gas sector, these sockets play a vital role in building robust and secure fluid transport systems where integrity and safety are of key concern to provide efficient and reliable performance in harsh environments.
